Mixed-media folk sculpture by Willie Tarver (1932–2010), fashioned from found and repurposed materials and depicting two animated animal-like figures interacting atop a cylindrical base. The roughly modeled surfaces, expressive forms, dark painted finish and spontaneous construction are characteristic of Tarver’s highly individual Southern folk-art sculptures.
