Stuempfle pottery jug, wheel-thrown stoneware of tall ovoid form with an applied loop handle and restrained incised decoration consisting of horizontal bands and repeating wave motifs around the shoulder. Finished in a light neutral glaze that emphasizes the thrown form and incised surface. A handsome example of traditional utilitarian pottery interpreted through a contemporary studio-pottery approach. 13" mint condition as fired from the aritst.
