Jack Savitsky (1910–1991) folk art painting depicting a large orange horse set against a gray sky and patterned green field. Savitsky was a Pennsylvania coal miner and self-taught artist whose paintings often documented working-class life, animals, architecture, and the landscape of the anthracite coal region.
