Marvin Bailey (b. 1960, Lancaster, South Carolina) miniature Southern folk pottery face jug, covered in a mottled dark brown glaze and featuring deeply modeled brows, prominent applied ears and nose, inset eyes, and an open mouth fitted with irregular white teeth. Bailey is a self-taught potter who began making pottery professionally in 2001 and became known throughout the Carolinas for expressive face jugs and increasingly elaborate figural folk pottery. 4.5" mint condition as fired from the aritst.
